After graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Plymouth State University, Emily has continuously worked to shape the lives of young children. First as a toddler teacher and childcare practitioner in the Boston area, and then as a teacher and parent after moving to Newport in 2007, Emily has worked with children from diverse backgrounds and specialized needs, in grades from Newborn to Kindergarten. She brings a unique sense of purpose and kindness to each interaction in the classroom or home. She spends emphasizing the joy of childhood with her students, while instilling structure and respect for each other.
Now that her two sons are a little older, she is excited to join them at Pennfield as a full time teacher. She lives in Newport with her family and enjoys the activities that living downtown affords as well as going to the beach and traveling to other sunny destinations.
