Age 3

Preschool

In an interactive and encouraging setting, a child’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive skills are fostered. Soon doors open to visual recognition of words in print and then into the wonderful world of books with words. One exciting, newly learned thing leads to the next in activities that include coloring, rhymes and songs. Plenty of time is spent in both structured and unstructured play – on the playground and surrounding campus, in the gym and in the classroom. A child learns to work in a group and to develop a sense of belonging. They can share excitement in learning through various games and activities in the classroom, as well as in co-curricular classes such as science, library, or Spanish. This fun year of newfound knowledge sets a pace for many enthusiastic years to come.

Every child has something they can be good at, and we celebrate that at Pennfield.
