A pledge or a gift to the Annual Fund can be made at any time during the Annual Fund year. You may wish to make a pledge to the Annual Fund and spread your gift over several months with installment payments. All pledges are due by June 30th.
Checks and Credit Cards
Checks should be made payable to The Pennfield School and sent directly to Pennfield, 110 Sandy Point Avenue, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Donations of $50 or more may be made by using VISA or Mastercard. All gifts are fully tax deductible for federal income tax purposes to the extent provided by law.
Gifts of appreciated securities are welcomed by Pennfield. In most cases, you may claim a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value of the shares. The donor may either:
A. Deliver certificates to and request that the certificates be transferred to our brokerage firm for the account of The Pennfield School. Please ask the donor’s broker to call the Advancement Office or Business Office (401) 849-4646 for specific information.
B. Send unendorsed certificates to The Pennfield School, 110 Sandy Point Avenue, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Under separate cover, send a stock power signed in blank for each certificate. Please do not register certificates in school’s name.
Corporate Matching Gifts
A gift to Pennfield can have double to triple the impact if the donor works for a matching gift company. The donor should obtain a matching gift form from the Matching Gifts Coordinator, fill it out and send it along with their gift to the Pennfield School. We will verify the receipt of the gift and send the form to the company.
