Pennfield’s CSS: Empowering Every Learner

By April 26, 2024News

Excitement buzzes through the halls of The Pennfield School as we unveil our latest endeavor: the Center for Student Success (CSS). CSS is designed to support each student’s unique journey of growth and discovery, ensuring that every child thrives.

Launching this Fall 2024, CSS is open to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Whether a child is navigating learning differences, seeking greater challenges, or simply aiming to excel, CSS is a personalized roadmap to success.

Here at Pennfield, we understand that each student learns differently. That’s why CSS offers a tailored curriculum. Dr. Marianne Lawless, Assistant Head of School for Curriculum and Instruction, says, “Whether it’s learning differences that need resource support to bring up to grade level or students who excel academically and need new educational challenges, our center will zero-in on those needs and create an individualized learning plan so that every student is successful.”

CSS includes a full-time director and specialists with expertise in specific areas of learning support. Through one-on-one sessions and group activities, children will build confidence, independence, and a love for learning. Veronica Hardy, Director of CSS, shares, “We intentionally curated CSS to meet individual students exactly where they are in their learning journey and support them as they learn their full potential.”

But CSS isn’t just about academics – it’s about embracing each child’s personality and celebrating their unique strengths. That’s why Pennfield recently hosted a panel discussion on neurodiversity, paving the way for programs like CSS to better serve students. “Pennfield is committed offering innovative opportunities to create a learning environment where all students feel accepted, respected, and inspired to achieve personal and academic growth,” says Paul Amadio, Head of School.

As we prepare to launch CSS, Pennfield is more committed than ever to providing you with the tools and resources you need to succeed. We believe that every student deserves the chance to thrive academically and personally. We’re excited to bring the Center for Student Success to our community.
