Gratitude on Display

By December 29th, 2025No Comments

Before heading into winter break, families, faculty, and classmates were invited to explore the Gratitude Galleries created by Pennfield’s 7th and 8th grade students. This project marked an inspiring culmination of biography study, research, and creative expression.

Each student selected and read a biography, then designed a thoughtful display to honor the individual they studied. The galleries featured imaginative trophies and awards, each carefully crafted to recognize not only accomplishments, but also the deeper reasons these individuals matter and the impact they have had on others and on the world.

As visitors moved through the galleries, they encountered more than visual displays. Students shared presentations that sparked meaningful conversations about character, perseverance, leadership, and gratitude. The experience highlighted an important truth: learning history is not just about dates and events, but about understanding people and recognizing the ways their actions shape our lives.

We are incredibly proud of our 7th and 8th graders for turning careful research into meaningful reflection and for expressing gratitude through creativity, presentation, and thoughtful discussion.
