By May 7th, 2026No Comments
Community Celebration with
Parents, faculty, and alumni from 1998-2026

Join in celebrating Mr. Bottone (Mr. B), a cherished member of our faculty who has given so much of himself to our school and community for nearly three decades!

Friday, July 10
5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
The Pennfield School
110 Sandy Point Avenue, Portsmouth

We will have food trucks, a cash bar, and an open mic to share legendary Mr. B stories. Maybe you remember conducting a wild science experiment, performing in one of the many shows he wrote and directed, attending the marriage of Q & U, canoeing along the coast of Maine, or perfecting your talent show routine with his encouragement. Whatever your memories, we look forward to welcoming everyone back on campus to celebrate with Mr. Bottone!

Current students will have their own celebration during school on Friday, June 5.

Mr. B Adventure Fund – Coming Soon!

Mr. Bottone – known to many students as Mr. B – has always believed that some of the most powerful learning happens beyond the classroom: on the stage, in the woods, on the water, and during unforgettable school trips. Whether discovering a snake on campus, setting up a telescope on the soccer field to view an eclipse, making a cameo appearance in a school play, or sharing a meal around a fire deep in the Maine woods, Mr. B has a remarkable gift for creating experiences that students carry with them long after they leave Pennfield. More importantly, these moments build confidence, spark curiosity and a love for learning, and deepen students’ connection to the world around them.

To ensure these meaningful traditions continue, the Mr. B Adventure Fund will be established specifically to provide dedicated support for off-campus adventures, field trips, and outdoor learning experiences. Mr. Bottone is excited that his name can help sustain programs that mean so much to him.
