Supporting Your Child's Journey

“At Pennfield, your child isn’t just prepared for the next grade — they’re getting prepared for life. Our small classes, compassionate teachers, and character-driven curriculum nurture confident learners and kind leaders. It’s a lifelong investment in who your child will become.”

At Pennfield, we believe that a strong community begins with a shared investment in every student’s potential. Every student, parent, and educator plays a vital role in shaping an environment fueled by excitement, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose, making each day on campus truly extraordinary. That’s why we strive to keep tuition as accessible as possible. We believe that the transformative experience of a Pennfield education should be within reach for more families. Through flexible payment plans, need-based financial aid and active duty military rates, we’re here to support families every step of the way.

We invite you to explore the ways in which a Pennfield education offers real value—beyond the classroom.

Supporting Your Child's Journey

We are proud to offer need-based financial aid for students in kindergarten through grade 8. Our financial aid process is designed to be thoughtful and personal. We understand that each family’s situation is unique, and we take the time to review applications carefully, ensuring that Pennfield remains within reach for many who might otherwise believe it is beyond their financial means.

The average financial aid grant is $6,300 and approximately 48% of our families benefit from financial assistance, military discounts, or faculty tuition remission.

  • Application:
    • Parents/guardians need to set up an account with IRS.gov. If there are 2 parents/guardians, both need to be present during this process.
    • Complete the Clarity Application, which assesses your family’s financial situation.
  • Review: Clarity provides a recommendation, which we consider alongside your family’s unique circumstances and available funds.
  • Annual Reapplication: Families must reapply each year to continue receiving aid.

In cases of divorce, unmarried, or separated parents, both parents need to submit a Clarity Application. Children living with grandparents or guardians will be reviewed case by case. If a parent chooses to leave their job or change jobs for a decreased salary, Pennfield is not able to underwrite this difference with a larger financial aid grant the following year. If one parent chooses not to work and all children are of age to attend school, $20,000 will be added to the family’s income. Exceptions will be made for the care of a critically ill or disabled child, parent, or grandparent.

For questions concerning Clarity, contact Clarity directly at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752.

For questions concerning the IRS verification process, contact IRS support here.

To be considered in the first round of financial aid grants for the 2026-2027 school year, financial aid paperwork for new families needs to be submitted to The Pennfield School’s Admission Office by Wednesday, February 4, 2026. After February 4, financial aid will still be available and awarded on a rolling basis.
