Michelle holds a K-8 Education degree with additional coursework completed in Early Childhood Education. She began teaching in 1999 and completed multiple state certifications, leading her to teach in five states and in Nicaragua. She has been a full-time classroom teacher in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade. She has also taught Spanish at a boarding school in Connecticut and created an after school Spanish club for Middle School students. She and her family have moved around the country for her husband’s work, and she had the opportunity to be a librarian while they spent time in Nashville. Michelle is a Google Classroom Certified Educator and is trained in a variety of educational technology programs. She loves learning and is passionate about teaching students of all ages! She recently attended the World Language Teacher Summit where she studied movement within the World Language classroom, took Zumba classes, and created a fun, unique Spanish in Motion program for our Spanish curriculum!

In her spare time, she enjoys baking, gardening, exercising, taking her children on fun day trips, and reading all she can to make her classes even more exciting! She also loves to travel and has ventured to 13 countries around the world including Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica!
