National Spanish Exam Excellence

¡Muy bien! Our upper school students had great success with the 2016 National Spanish Examinations.

They earned a total of two gold, five silver and four bronze medals, along with eleven honorable mentions. “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 160,000 students participating in 2016.”

Special recognition goes to Jake Carlson, Brady Churchville and Ben Kules. Their scores placed them in the top three for their grade level among ALL students in Rhode Island:

7th Grade (Level 01)

Jake Carlson — 2nd place (96th percentile nationally)
Brady Churchville — 3rd place (92nd percentile nationally)

8th Grade (Level 1)

Ben Kules — 2nd place (99th percentile nationally)
